Five Defendants Indicted for Owing $119,836.82 in Child Support
Andre Starling Indicted for Owing $34,471.92
CLEVELAND – Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Bill Mason announced that five defendants were indicted for failure to pay child support. These five defendants owe a combined $119,836.82 in child support. The charge of criminal non-support is a fifth degree felony which carries a maximum sentence of one year in prison. These indictments are a result of a joint investigative effort by the Cuyahoga County Child Support Enforcement Agency (CSEA) and the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor's Office. Arraignments for the following defendants are scheduled for September 13, 2010.

Andre Starling, 40, of Euclid, was indicted on three (3) counts of criminal non-support. He owes $34,471.92 for his 14-year-old child. Two hearings were held in Juvenile Court between 1998 and 2008. The last voluntary payment was made on January 20, 2010, in the amount of $114.86.

Berdale Strong, 42, of Bedford, was indicted on three (3) counts of criminal non-support. He owes $22,729.62 for his 10-year-old child. Two hearings were held in Domestic Relations Court between 2006 and 2008. The last voluntary payment was made on December 1, 2006, in the amount of $50.00.
Berdale Strong, 42, of Bedford Heights, was indicted on one (1) count of
criminal non-support. He owes $8,607.00 for his 11-year-old child. Two
hearings were held in Juvenile Court during 2007. The last voluntary payment
was made on May 17, 2005, in the amount of $50.00.

Mike Woody, 49, of Cleveland, was indicted on twelve (12) counts of criminal non-support. He owes $29,911.25 for his five children ages 15, 17, 19, 21, and 23. Two hearings were held in Juvenile Court between 2003 and 2006. The last voluntary payment was made on April 23, 2010, in the amount of $1,475.00.

Alfonso Alicea, 37, of Parma, was indicted on three (3) counts of criminal non-support. He owes $16,123.29 for his three children ages 9, 12, and 14. One hearing was held in Domestic Relations Court during 2008. No voluntary payments have ever been made on this case.

Dimitris Saulters, 33, of East Cleveland, was indicted on one (1) count of criminal non-support. He owes $7,993.74 for his 6-year-old child. Three hearings were held in Juvenile Court between 2007 and 2010. The last voluntary payment was made on July 17, 2008, in the amount of $50.00.
